GUIDELINES

Since the amateur category was specially created for beginners, an amateur is a photographer who hasn't won any prize in any competition before.
Only photographers using GoPro, Mobile phones, and compact digital cameras with fixed lens systems, can participate in this category.
Owners of digital cameras with DSLR or Mirrorless systems cannot participate in this category.
Any single image taken between November 2, 2023, and November 1st, 2024, can be submitted to this category.
AI Usage Prohibition:
We want to emphasize that it is forbidden to use AI (Artificial Intelligence) in any form for image creation, enhancement, or manipulation in this year's competition.
At World ShootOut, we value the traditional artistry and skill of underwater photography. Thus, all submitted images must be a result of conventional photography techniques, void of any AI-generated content.
Minor editing of images using any imaging software is allowed. This includes color and contrast enhancements,
backscatter removal, up to 15 % cropping allowed, minor flawsflaws, and background consolidation.
mage editing that alters the main content of the image, such as moving, removing models, and/or implanting foreign elements,
is not permitted.
